My expectations were too high. The trip overall was fine. I did a lot of research before I booked this trip. I took my family of 6 for 4 nights to the Bahamas. The rooms were fine. We had one balcony and two window rooms. The windows in the two rooms were dirty before we left port. The food was ok. I thought there would be a larger variety for dinner. The shows were terrible. It was like watching a high school musical. We went three times and walked out every time. No applauds either. The gratuity for drinks was fine. We bought three unlimited soda vouchers. We saved money that way. My drink bill was about $550.00 (not bad for 6 of us). However, the gratuity for the rooms was ridiculous. $10.00 per person per day. $240.00. I think the ships need to start paying their employees. The weather was not good. That was my fault going in December. I will probably not take Carnival again. At least, I will look around more. Snorkeling was great... We will do that again. I bought my tickets for the waterpark at Atlantis through Comfort Suites Inn in Nassau. They give you tickets when you book a room. It was cheaper booking two rooms for the tickets than to buy the tickets outright. I would cruise again but not on the Sensation. It's just too old. Renovations or not.

Cabin Review

Cabins were ok. The window cabins windows were dirty before we left port. Balcony was fine. I think we overpaid for all the rooms. Gratuity is ridiculous.
