Sail Date: Dec 2009
Cabin: Deluxe Spa Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

We sailed on 12/12 and had a wonderful trip. We drove to Ft. Lauderdale from Orlando, arriving at 1:30 pm. I dropped my husband and the luggage at the ship and drove across the street to park. It was the easiest embarkation we've ever experienced. No lines, walked right onto the ship and into our cabin. We had a cabin on Deck 10. It was comfortable and very convenient. Up one flight to the Crow's Nest and Explorers Cafe. Down one flight to the Lido. My only cabin complaint is one of design. The placement of overhead lights doesn't work when closet doors are open. It was very difficult to see the interior of he shelves. We received a complimentary day at the Hydro-pool facility and enjoyed it very much. The heated stone recliners were wonderful. Other Spa treatments were also very nice. We found the food to be very good. We had room service in the early morning- coffee, juice, croissants, it arrived on time and nicely presented. Breakfast and lunch were in the Lido. Buffets were varied and had many choices. We purchased our cruise on-line and the only dining option was open dining. We used it on the first evening. We arrived at 8:30 and had to wait for a table. The Maitre'd gave us a glass of Champagne and a beeper. We went to the lounge and listened to the string quartet. The wait was about 10 minutes. After dinner, we went up to the second floor of the dining room, and requested a move to the late seating. Our request was filled and we spent the remainder of the cruise with a couple from florida, 2 younger people from the DC area and 2 ladies, one from FL and one from Germany. I prefer sitting at a table and meeting other passengers. We had very nice dinners. The Champagne Brunch for Mariners was excellent as was the Afternoon Tea. The String Quartet played in the background and provided perfect ambience. The ship is beautiful. Lots of brass and teak. I particularly like the teak deck chairs on he open decks. The wicker deck chairs at the 2 pools were also very nice. I had read some negative comments about the service but we found the service excellent. Waiters, stewards, bar tenders, desk help were all very efficient and friendly. JT, the Cruise Director, was the best we've encountered on any ship. Personable, friendly and very funny. Shopping Director Lance was also very informative and very well known at the shops. We can't wait to sail on the Eurodam again.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Spa Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin VT

Loved our cabin. Difficult to see in the closets. Bathroom was spacious and loved the tub. Balcony was very nice. Verandah deck suited us fine as we spend most time on Observation or Lido.
