We are frequent cruisers who have sailed on Carnival a few times before as well as other Cruise lines; however most of our experience is with NCL. This Cruise was booked through Carnival Sea Miles as we have the credit card but never redeemed points before. You lose a bit of the personal touch you get with dealing with your local agent, however everything was fine and we got a great price on the cruise. This was only a four (4) day cruise so this review will be short and to the point. Ports were Key West and Cozumel which were great. More time in Key West would have been better. We love Cozumel; always a blast. Embarkation was very simple; we were on the ship quickly. We were able to drop our bags in our cabin and went up to the Lido deck for some lunch and to explore the ship. If I have any complaint about this ship it is the buffet lines because there are no action stations and you have to wait in line each time, but there are other dining options on the Lido deck. There is a 24 hour pizzeria, a New York deli that is open from 12:00 noon to midnight, an oriental station, and several grill stations for burgers. Where they fall short is on the breakfast buffet where it is difficult at best to get eggs cooked to order. We loved the New York deli which features corned beef and pastrami sandwiches which were nice. We found the food very good but you are not going to find eggs Benedict on the buffet line the way you do on NCL, nor do they have the Belgium waffles and some of the other premium items on their breakfast buffet. They do have multiple ice cream machines on the Lido deck which is nice, and the evening we were in Cozumel they did a buffet on the Lido deck of all Mexican food which was very good. Destiny has the largest free steam room and sauna I have ever seen at sea. The facility is amazing with windows where you can look out at the ocean while you are using the spa. We enjoy the spa so we spent a lot of time here. Simply perfection. The inside cabin we had was much larger than the one we had on our last NCL cruise. There was plenty of room and the bedding was comfortable. Amazingly, there were razor blades, tooth paste, and real soap (not just the liquid stuff) in the bathroom. They even had complimentary hair dye in the spa. I give Carnival big points for these details which were most convenient. We only went to one of the shows (the last one) but we were sorry we didn't go to more after seeing it as it was pretty good. Getting off the ship was also very easy. All in all a great cruise and a very good value for the price paid. We paid less because of the Sea Miles but our friends got a price of less than $300.00 for the four (4) days which is great. I would definitely consider Carnival again for future cruising.
