I took my 85-yr old father on this port-intensive cruise - 8 ports in 11 days (Hey, Cruise Critic, this form only allows 6 ports max). It started out in the best way possible - I was able to convert from an assigned inside cabin to a guaranteed outside cabin for no additional charge, and it turns out they put us in a Concierge Class balcony cabin with all its perks.

The ship is gorgeous, huge, and never seemed crowded. The service was impeccable, except for one margarita where they forgot to salt the rim. We were, however, less impressed with the main dining room food.

Much of it was good, but that goodness was not consistent. The fillet mignon and churrasco steak were excellent, but other beef dishes were either tough or not cooked to order. Fish by itself was excellent, but many fish dishes had some kind of "filler", such as the "salmon mousse", and were not as appetizing. Some portions were small - the shrimp scampi had _three_ shrimp, and the formal night's lobster offering was...1/2 of a lobster tail. A little too much cost-cutting going on here, I think. The breakfast buffet was generally excellent, as was room service.
