This was our second trip on the Grandeur this year. We like leaving from Tampa - the port is much closer to us than Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and it is very well run. As normal, parking and check in were a breeze and we were on the ship about 15 minutes after parking the car.

The Grandeur is one of the older ships in the fleet, but RCCI keeps it pretty well maintained. You immediately notice that everything is clean and the furnishings are in good condition. Our room was a Junior Suite off the back of the ship, and we had a huge balcony. Sure it was a walk but that is one way to keep the cruise weight from coming on!

Our stateroom attendant was a bit scatter-brained but did a good job. We had good service in the dining room and in fact, had the same Headwaiter that we did in April on the Grandeur. He remembered where we sat last time and remembered our son. The food was very good. Our table mates had special requests and they were well taken care of.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

We absolutely loved our cabin - 8088. It is a Junior Suite in the rear of the ship. The balcony was very large, and because it is below the Day Spa, it is very quiet at night. The views were awesome from the balcony. We liked it so much we booked a JS off the back of the boat for the Radiance in Dec 2010!
