Sail Date: Dec 2009

We just completed the 15 day transition cruise of the infinity from Fort Lauderdale to Valparaiso. All in all it met our expectations of what this type of cruise should be. The itinerary included Cozumel, Costa Rica, The Panama Canal, Ecuador, Peru, and 3 stops in Chile concluding in Valparaiso. All the stops were good with the Panama Canal the high light.

Having sailed with Celebrity before we has expectations that it would be a good ship. All in all it was. The concierge class room was spacious and well laid out. We did find that they were lax on clean sheets and fixing a bathroom problem, but overall I would give them a 4 for the room. I would recommend getting a room near the center of the ship or slightly to the rear of the main elevators. Very convenient location.

The dining was so-so. The Ocean View Cafe, the buffet was very good (incredeble pizza), but the food in the main restaurant was often only warm when served. The service was good though. We did not like the SS United States, the specialty restaurant, the food was way to rich and the selection marginal. The lesser specialty restaurant, the Ocean View Bistro was good though.
