Cruise was a lot better than expected after reading some of the reviews. Water was a little choppy on day 1 but carnival can not control that. The food was not bad, it was not 5 star but I did not expect it to be. Lido Deck buffets were filling and not as good as dining room. We ate in the Ecstasy dining room and food was very good. Our service was spectacular.Santi was the head waiter but everyone else did an excellent job with him. We did eat breakfast one morning in the Fantasy dining room and it was the exact opposite. Service was not that good and everyone seemed in a bad mood. We had an ocean view cabin and had enough room for a crib the Sensation provided for us. Our service was again excellent from our stewards. They all greeted us and were in a great mood the entire trip. Our head steward was Emanuel, and he stayed on top of everything. We asked for ice, we got more ice than needed. He was very attentive and pleasing to have as a steward. Camp Carnival is very strict. Our son was one week from being 2 so they would not accept him. Said 2 is the age, it did not matter if he was bigger than every kid they had in there. So we know this for next time because we were cruising before Christmas and it was a present to all of us. They said it did not matter if he was one day away from 2 they would not accept him. Lesson learned. Went to Atlantis in Nassau. It is a definite must see, whether you use carnival shore excursions or some one else. Did not do much in Freeport, just a little shopping so can not comment to much.Overall, for the price I beleive we got our money's worth then some. Not sure what cruise some of these bad reviews were on but it could not be same on I was on. I did not see many shows because Camp Carnival would not accept kid for regular times so I would not pay them to accept him at other times. I would go on Carnival again but now with another kid on the way I will probably save money and try Disney for the kids next go around . I do not gamble so no casino will affect me anyway.
