Our friends and us have cruised the Caribbean several times already. This time we opted to use the Norwegian Pearl as our destination. We chose to relax and enjoy all the amenities the Pearl had to offer. We were not disappointed. We had three adjoining minisuite cabins. We requested our steward to unlock the connecting balcony doors and enjoyed visiting back and forth on our private over-sized balcony. We loved watching the sunsets [and sunrises], the arrivals and departures from each port, the activity of the tenders, the cloud formations in the open seas, and the peacefulness and privacy to enjoy each other's company. In the cabins, the women loved the bathtubs and the layout of the bathrooms, having the toilet in its own separate space. The privacy curtain in the bedrooms were perfect for the nightowls amongst us.
During the day, while the men ventured forth on their own at each island, the women relaxed in the spa [ahh the seaweed wrap!], the Spinnaker and the Bliss lounges. We enjoyed the quiet of the ship while most passengers were ashore. We took walks around the Promenade Deck and appreciated the whimsical artwork and cushy feeling of the floor under our feet. We discovered the Blue Lagoon tucked away on Deck 8 and loved our peaceful unhurried breakfast and lunch there. The best meal we had was at Le Bistro. The mushroom soup in a bread bowl is to die for. Our only regret was that we planned our French dinner the same night as the chocolate buffet. My advice would be to find out what night the chocolate buffet is being presented and pace your food intake for that day. I took beautiful pictures, but couldn't touch a morsel.
As for entertainment, the liveliest performers are Sharkbait. They are a hoot! Their energy level is beyond belief. We also very much enjoyed the comedy and improvisation of Second City.
Lots of storage space. Right below shuffleboard court - puck fell onto our balcony. Noisy on days when tenders used port side.
