The Celebrity Equinox will be hard to beat! We traveled four of us ages ranging from 52-67. All four of us are seasoned cruisers, my husband and I, on our 26th cruise, our cruising partners well over 30. This was my husband and my first cruise on Celebrity. While there isn't one particular cruise that I have ever hated [I enjoyed them all] this one definitely takes the winning prize. Everything everyone ever said about Celebrity is, in fact, on the money. I was expecting snobs - and all I got was friendly, albeit quiet...but friendly faces. The elegance of this ship and it's guests was fascinating. The ship is too beautiful to even try to describe, but anyone going on any future cruises on the Equinox should know that there isn't a single picture on the internet that does it justice. She is a real beauty! She is easy to navigate, taking only a day in getting to know the ship and finding our way around it's multiple, gorgeous decks, public rooms and walkways. This is not a party ship, nor I suspect a party cruiseline-period! Anyone looking for limbo dances and hairy chest contests on the pool deck needs to look elsewhere. And while you won't get a negative criticism from me on those "fun" ships that I love so much, I will say it was a bit of a refreshing change for us. We could actually hear ourselves talk while enjoying the music and even managed to take a couple of quick naps on a lounge chair. The evenings are relatively quiet as well, with the exception of the casino which was always full and very alive, the rest of the ship caters to the elegance and upscale-ness that Celebrity is known for, and I suppose catering to the majority of the guests who were mainly well over the age of 60. I would say perhaps 20% was mid-30's to 50's. No loud music playing anywhere, disco was mainly empty all the time and late at night, most people had already retired. If I were forced to say anything at all in any aspect of negativity I would say only that I missed the energy level on Carnival or Royal. Although I did mention our range of ages, we still tend to like the late night partying that was nowhere to be seen on the Equinox. Other than that, the beauty, the grace, the elegance of this ship is unlikely to be matched - except by a sister ship! I look forward to selling many more cruises on Celebrity.

Our Cabin

Our cabin was on Deck 7, forward, port side, balcony. It was large, with a nice balcony, clear view of ocean. Closet space was ample, drawer space was limited, but we managed to use every available area to unpack and put our stuff away. Extremely quiet cabins, you couldn't hear anything from the neighbor cabins or from anyone out in the hall. Apparently ship was built with very strong walls.
