We drove to Ft. Lauderdale through the rainy day from Tampa Bay , Fl., and upon our arrival we were ushered in through priority embarkation with MANY SMILING crew members on The Costa Atlantica-!The Concierge met us & took us to our suite on Amarcord Deck PS6170! Great sized suite with large closets, large bath with jet-tub for my wife, double sinks, bar, refrig, large balcony, which was utilized daily~repeatedly, champagne, canapes', fruit and all other amenities were enjoy by us both! The ship had approx. 2200 passengers, but the flow on decks was easily managed with no clogging of crowds! We NEVER felt crowded anywhere on board! Typical Italian decor abounded, but in muted/pastel colors-so NOT GAUDY! Very Tasteful!~as my wife, who is Italian, said repeatedly! Service was flawless for us--hopefully for everyone else also! Many cocktail parties abounded with Captain & Crew-Excellent! Activities ranged from card playing-to casino-to dancing- to singing- to Newlywed show, to broadway type shows, with many informative lectures inserted throughout our itinerary. Star gazing at night, buffets, library for readers, the many pools, cigar lounge, movies on TVs, etc., the activities were endless! Beautiful shops with many deals onboard, even daily bingo games-of which I won a few! Dining rooms were very nice with bustling attendants bent on satisfying the guests as well as possible! Now~many comments by OTHER passengers about the 'food' not being American enough--so our thoughts 'enveloped' the European Italian dishes with openess, leaving us highly surprised and pleased! Portions were very sizeable and refreshing, wines were delicious, as well as all the different meals we tried!A variety of meals for virtually every taste! Lamb, lobster, steaks, pasta-a staple of fare, fich of many varieties, and all superbly prepared! A great experience to our delight! More importantly, were the people we encountered and met--and became fast friends with~for a long time to come!

With a ship practically FULL of Italians, Americans, Germans, French, Spanish guests, ASA WELL AS many blind guests--some with their service animals--we TRULY enjoyed ourselves immensely! Blind guests were assigned many of the crew as helpers for the dining rooms, as well as the buffets, the tours on and off the ship. And the 'service' animals were regarded as wonderful additions to the ship as well, being taken care of immeasureably! Excursions were plentiful in each port: bus tours, walking tours, self tours, catamarans, snorkeling, sailing, horseback riding, fort tours, shopping tours and the like seemed to be unending at each destination! Each tour guide were promptly at the lems of their tours and very informative! A Well Polished group of operators! Great Fun and Informative too! Room service was very prompt, as well as courteously welcomed. Requests we placed, almost daily-from lite fare to tea/coffee, to iced drinks were quickly placed and delivered efficiently~ALWAYS with a wonderful smile! The atmosphere of the crew we engaged with on a daily basis were truly engaging & delightful! We were very well taken care of in our every wish & whim! Alas, when it came time to disembark--always so short a cruise!- we were led off through early disembarkation with a warm send-off and a wishful & hopeful return ! So glad we have another great travel experience on another terrific cruise! Thank You Costa!

Cabin Review

Panoramic Suite with Balcony

Cabin PS

Our Panorama Suite was a 'treasure' due to the fact of a very spacious cabin, with king size bed, full sized jacuzzi tub w/shower, double marble vanities, mirrors, plenty of elec. outlets, and inner dressing room with vanity w/drawers, a Large double closet with plenty of room for clothing, and in the bedroom- a large sofa that makes into a bed , a cpl of side chairs, a marble coffee table, large class doors to the verandah, another large double closet, a safe , a refrigerator stocked with many types of soft drinks, beer, wine, champagne, etc. Large TV, w/dvd player, many movies can be gotten from the viideo library on-board as well. A selection of pillows to the guest's taste, a duvet, bathrobes & slippers for use while on board, along with butler service at your call! Very Comfortable & Inviting! A pleasure at it's optimum!
