We are in our late 40's - no kids. This was our 5th cruise to the Mexican Riviera, so this one was more about checking out a new ship than about the intinerary. And we were not disappointed!! The Mariner is a beautiful ship! So much to do... we didn't even get to see it all in the week we were on it.
We stayed at the Westin Long Beach for 1 night pre cruise - a very nice hotel in a great location! We got a good price on Priceline - only $65/night.
We splurged and got a Jr Suite - with the price reductions we just couldn't pass up the opportunity, and it was a great choice. We loved the bigger room, the walk-in closet and bathtub - as well as a much bigger balcony! Our room steward was great - my husband requested a foam mattress pad because the bed was a little hard, and he found one for us right away. He was very friendly throughout the cruise, and our room was always spotless.
Great cabin - loved the Jr Suite! We had a walk in closet with tons of room - we put away all of our clothes and things and still had several empty shelves.
The balcony was roomy - we had a lounger as well as chairs and a table. The cabin itself had plenty of room, we had 6 people in there watching football one afternoon and it was not crowded at all! The larger bathroom with a bathtub was nice as well. Good location, close to the elevator. Very quiet room, we didn't hear anything from our neighbors.
