Pre-Cruise and Embarkation

My wife and I drove from Memphis to New Orleans on Friday 11/27 and stayed at the Hampton Inn Convention Center which is right next to the port. We were able to park our car in their garage for the duration of the cruise for $10.00/day which is cheaper than the garage at the pier ($14). They transported us over to the embarkation point and picked us up promptly upon our return. All of the Carnival documents we received indicated embarkation beginning at 130p, but based on past experience, we arrived at the pier at 11a and were on board having lunch by 1145a. Very smooth and easy.
