My wife and I took a couple family members for a quick getaway while visiting Singapore, as we live in the US. We booked two suites side by side, 8028 and 8030. Even though we didn't have alot of trouble with our rooms, we can understand where some people might complain about the location, due to being underneath deck 9. During the day, you can hear people yelling or stomping on the floor, but since none of us nap nor in the room often during the day, not that big of a deal. At night, you can also hear the music, but not something that keeps one from sleeping. If somebody thinks it might keep them awake, earplugs would solve this problem. The suite had plenty of storage room, even though you can't store luggages under the bed. We were able to put our suitcases behind the 2 chairs in the sitting area, so they never were in our way during the trip. The balcony was huge, with 2 chairs, a table plus a lounge chair. The suite room allowed us to get pillow choices to ensure comfort while sleeping. The bathroom had a tub/shower, if someone had wanted to take a bath. The biggest complaint with the room is the location of the phone. Even though this isn't big in the whole scheme of things, just pointing this out for others. The phone is located on the wall by the dressing table, not next to the bed. The cord from the phone hangs down and always seemed to get caught in the drawer below.

The food on this cruise was average, but what was expected. Some meals were really good and some were very plain. We feel the cruise lines have spent to much time and effort trying to come up with healthy choices, that almost all desserts seem tasteless. The service in the main dining area was very good. The service in the Windjammer Cafe was hit or miss. I believe this was the case depending on the time. As we learned from being on this cruise, Asians love their buffets and they flock to the Windjammer at the main meal times (breakfast 8-9 and lunch 12-1). If you eat before or after these times, one can find a seat and get service. If you try eating during the main times, you may or may not find a place to sit and the service people aren't looking to help people, only clear tables. Also, if seating at a table that has an empty place, one can expect someone to try and sit down at your table. I guess this is a product of the cruisers and the availability of seating at the busy times.

The fitness area isn't very big, but was just as expected for size of the ship. Same goes for the locker rooms. Never had a problem finding room to exercise or enjoy the sauna/steamroom.
