My wife and I have averaged 2 cruises per year for the past three years and I have cruised several times before that. The last cruise was in June 2009 on the Carnival Legend from Tampa, FL. We have been on Royal Caribbean, Princess and of course Carnival.

We had cabin 2346 which was an ocean view at the very back of the ship. The cabin was much larger than the standard ocean view and we were excited about trying a new cabin location. Usually we have a balcony cabin. Our cabin steward was excellent. That is pretty much where the good service ended.

At dinner, we had our waiter and then the bar beverage person came occasionally, and then we have the beverage person. We were never introduced to him nor did he ever come to the table. When we inquired to our waiter, he was called his "assistant". My wife had a glass of wine which we brought into the dining room, and I was not able to order any beverage until I asked our waiter. He said he would take care of it, which he did. I also found it very annoying that on the first night, the waiter also took our desert order with our meal order. I think he got the idea that was a good idea as the table of 3 other couple were also highly annoyed and he got the message. When desert was served, my wife and I asked for a Cappuccino. He said that we would have to get that from the beverage person, for whom we never met. When no one came after 10 minutes we inquired to our waiter again who said he would take care of it. He never came back.

Cabin Review

Cabin 2346, Main Deck 2 end of ship. Very large for ocean view. Plenty of closet space. No refigerator. Loud AC.
