The cabins were a little on the small side but perfectly adequate and very comfortable with plenty of hanging space. Only drawback here was the lack of a hospitality tray. No early morning Tea or Coffee!
The plug socket in the cabin is american two pin flat type.
Hairdryers etc work but power is poor and very slow. You can hire hairdryers from reception and they seem to work better.
Excursions are very good, lots of interesting commentries but expensive. Information was available for DIY shore trips along with maps etc.
All in all a wonderful way to see several places without the hassle of finding your own way. We felt completely looked after.
The drinks package is quite expensive £169 each for a week but if you like a drink and dont want to worry about the bar bill at the end of the holiday it is great. Having said that the drinks were very reasonably priced. £2.90 for Stella lager. £2.65 for a glass of wine. about £3.00 for a cocktail. Port and Sherry were around £3.00 too.
Also another good point is that all gratuities and tips are included in the holiday price. (some other cruise companies charge extortionate daily tips which are added to your final bill! Of course you can give extra tips to your favourite members of staff if you so wish.
We didnt get off the boat here.
We dont like being hassled to death by the constant barrage or sellers but some people handled it quite well and even enjoyed the experience. One word of warning though. Taxi drivers dont give change !!! arrange a fare and have the correct money ready. One passenger agreed a taxi fare of £10 but having only a £20 note paid the price!!! Not just that one taxi driver it seems that is normal.
