Background - This is our 9th cruise and second on Royal. We have done 4 Princess, 2 Royal, 1 Disney, 1 Regency, and 1 on Sea Dream.

Embarkation - Piece of cake. Miami port authority has it together. Arrived at pier about 11:15 and we were on board well before noon. Had a quick lunch in the Windjammer and headed to our staterooms.

Staterooms - We traveled with our two kids. 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son so we decided to forgo the balcony stateroom or suite we usually get and go with connecting promenade view inside staterooms. The rooms were big enough and the promenade view was "neat" but we will never go without a balcony again. Closet space was ample enough but the drawer space was lacking. Bathrooms are pretty standard with a smaller than small shower but it got the job done.
