We cruised on Voyager of the Seas on 30 Aug from Barcelona as a treat for my daughters birthday We had a balcony stateroom which was small but fine we also took advantage of the anytime dining option and it was in our booking that 2 Sept was daughters birthday This was ignored and only when we mentioned this to our cabin attendant the next day he brought a bottle of wine A little late I think! The cruise director was from south America and the cruise seemed to be directed at the Spanish guests in fact the whole cruise was to suit-them with most announcements in Spanish and English we were unable to get dining times or tables to suit even when booking a day in advance we would have been better to have used the second sitting instead The menu was not very exciting either The windjammer restaurant was not very clean with tables not cleared and long queues and inadequate seating at lunch and breakfast times Our interactive TV did not work even though we reported it several times Smoking was prevalent in the bars even though it was a non smoking ship The entertainment was poor and not as professional as on some other cruises that we had been on again geared to the Spanish which was a shame as there were many Americans and British on the ship I used my mobile twice and when I got home found I had been charged large amounts for two calls as the ship routed the calls via USA and these showed Bermuda on my mobile account There was nowhere either in the brochure or in the stateroom to indicate these charges as I pointed out in my letters and emails to RCL on my return I received a reply 28 days after my complaint saying "hope it did not spoil your holiday I replied and after another 28 days an email saying hope you will travel with RCL again It is the worst customer service ever ! We will never travel again with RCL Nearly three months after our complaints they have just brushed us off it was a big disappointment

Cabin Review

Balcony cabin was but fine not very large and needed updating a bulky TV with the interactive not working

No complimentary toiletries in bathroom just a shower gel dispenser on the shower wall All other cruise lines had a selection available it was a very small shower cubicle too

Midships location was fine and very quiet
