It never ceases to amaze me how Costa can deliver the kind of quality cruise experience for such a low price! Sure some cost cutting has occurred here and there, but the quality of service, food and entertainment has not yet succumbed to the bottom liners of Carnival. If you're a price conscious cruiser, this is as good as it gets! Check-in was smooth and much improved over our Costa experiences of the past. The cabin was industry average in size, equipment and cleanliness. There were some problems with the AC, but one call to maintenance fixed the problem. The food was generally very good, although desserts were not as great as our previous experiences. The restaurants were better managed than at many other lines. We never had any big line-ups or waits. A big surprise were the shows, which were better than expected. Other entertainment venues were outstanding. We have never been on a line were the party life went on beyond 1 am. And it went on and on and on! Compare that to Holland America where the lights seem to go out at 9pm! The gym is another feature worth mentioning. It is spectacular. All new hi-tech equipment, hot tub and wonderful saunas showers and locker rooms. And all at NO EXTRA CHARGE (hey Celebrity - please notice...). Of course there will always be those that are expecting Champagne on a beer budget, but for any reasonable person, this was another wonderful and memorable experience.

Cabin Review

two big closets, lots of drawers, comfortable beds. A bit noisy. Temperature control in room was inconsistent (either too hot or too cold), and the same problem with the shower temperature.
