best cruise ever

Sail Date: November 2009
Destination: Mexican Riviera
Embarkation: San Diego

my husband and i went on the radiance nov 7. we were celebrating 3 years of marriage minus our kids and it was our first balcony and his first rc cruise.

we flew in the night before and stayed at the comfort inn old town. it was a mile from the airport and free transportation to and from airport and cruise terminal. we could actually see the radiance sail in and it was nice to spend the day walking around old town. we used the trolley system to get around. it wa 5 bucks for a day pass.

we got to the port around 1015 am. we had no lines checking in and it was the easiest port we ever went thru.we gt on the ship around 11. the ship is beautiful and perfect size. there was alot to do and it was very clean. the indoor pool was beautful but cold. the outdoor pool was nice, and the put put corse was always crowded (we started on the 6th hole so there was no wait)

our room was a balcony on the hump. it was 7608 and it was an average size room but the More balcony was deep. it was a good location and we were by the stairs. we never heard noise. our treats and soda cups were waiting for us. the wine truffles were a disappointment. at three we went to the schooner bar and met with our roll call. everyone was great to meet and we had a blast with them. we then had muster drill and then continued our cc party at the sky bar.

the food was ok not a big selection but it was edible. try the gnocchi and the thai BBQ chicken. our dinner mates were great, two other couples our age so they did good in that department. we did the wine tour in ensenada and then ate downtown. after that we took a horse carriage and shopped. we booked the wine tour thru rc and it was alot of fun. it went to two differnt winiers and they were very generous on the serving of wine.

in cabo us and some other cc member took a water taxi to the arches then ate and swam all day. it was beautiful there and the weather was perfect on this cruise. we paid 25 bucks for eight people round trip to the arches and 3 pp to and from the beach. we also met with cc member in one of the suites and then one last meeting at the schooner bar on the last sea day. this was the best group of cc members an they made our cruise a blast. i must say the captain was great a funny guy and the cruise director was great too. the piano show was bad but the comedian was funny. we went to the clubs at night and it was fun as well. overall a great cruise. the staff was overall good and the only thing that annoyed me is that you get your liquor on the day you leave the ship, not the night before. i think it rushes you even more. debarking was also easy at san diego as well.
