Embarkation at Cape Liberty went the smoothest ever. I was teaching quilting classes on sea days on this particular voyage.
Cabin was 6260 - saw cabin attendant briefly when she knocked on our door to evacuate us prior to the muster drill whistle blowing. Rug had a huge leftover mark where someone probably puked on the voyage prior. It was never steam cleaned. I took a photo of it to send to RCCL.
Went to the dining room where we had Robert as our waiter. This guy was SLOW. We didn't get out of the dining room till almost 8:00 - we were always about 1-2 courses behind everyone else. I have food allergy issues and I asked for my plate to be prepared a certain way (nothing hard - just didn't want some thing on the plate) - he brings the plate over, puts it in front of me and said - oh thats how they made it, sorry - so I didn't eat but a few bites. When my dining companions were done with their meal, he then asked me if I wanted something else. I wasn't going to hold up everyone else having dessert, so I declined and went to the windjammer for the rest of the cruise. I got the impression that it was like he was going to do what he wanted to do. I was happy with the food at the WJ and two others from our table ended up there every night as well because they weren't pleased with Robert.
Went to the conference room to begin our classes. I had the email in hand that contained the set up instructions for the room. Well, we got there and there was cut up boxes on the floor, no tables, and chairs all over the place and piled up against the wall. They fixed it,. The next sea day, the room had all the stuff we needed in it, and the excess chairs were cleaned out. We were supposed to get a coffee set up for 2:30, but I called to see if we could get it a little earlier (2:00) and it ended up arriving at 3:15, when our class was over at 3:30.
The ice show was the same one we saw last year - would be nice if the changed it eery year. Stage show was the same as well - different feature singers. I only went to one show. I did win $70 at the slots, so I guess the casino was good to me. The bartender down there, Billy, was so funny. We'd go hang out there again because of him.
The couple of times that I needed help at the guest relations, I had the pleasure of dealing with Cherry. She was great and got everything done promptly. Very happy with her efforts.
What I thought was very un-classy was the announcement over the PA in the Windjammer. I'm sure it was made with good intent - its just so NCL to do that. Not classy at all.
In Bermuda we went to Hamilton by ferry for a bit, but my friend couldn't do much walking, so it was really a waste. Next day we just mosie-d around dockyard. Took the tram around - you wait a LONG time for it to make the loop - 2 or 3 going at once would be better.
We disembarked easily and quickly.
Hubby and I are on this ship in a month for a 12 day.
