Amazing Alaskan Experience

Sail Date: September 2009
Destination: Alaska
Embarkation: Seattle

I really enjoyed this cruise that my husband and I took. It was our first cruise. Alaska is somewhere we had always wanted to go, and it was worth it seeing it on a cruise. We were able to see a lot of Alaska in a short amount of time.

The food was amazing with so many options at every meal and restaurant on board. The service was wonderful. If you asked for something, it was just a few short minutes and it was brought to you, no matter where you were.

The activities on board were fun, and there were so many different things to do each day.

Our room was very nice and was kept clean by a great pair of housekeepers.

The price was wonderful, something that we never thought we would be able to afford while going to school and buying a house.

One of the best days was the glacier tour. We were at Hubbard Glacier. You just can't imagine how breath taking it is to see it up close. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Infinity 2121

Great view most mornings, very comfortable bed, horrible built-in hair dryer, nice sized closet for 2 people, not a lot of noise from hall or adjacent rooms.

Port and Shore Excursions

Juneau was a very beautiful place to explore. We did not book an excursion, but waited to book something once we got ashore. The prices were wonderful. There were bald eagles soaring overhead. The Mendenhall Glacier was worth the visit.

In Ketchikan, we did local activities. We shopped for a few hours and then enjoyed the fun times at the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. It was so much fun and worth the $34. Ketchikan had great shops and interesting scenery.

For a late season stop, there was not much to do without spending a lot of money. It was a beautiful town to walk through and look at the beautiful architecture. The houses throughout town were historic and had a very home-y feeling to them. The view of the port and the ocean were wonderful.
