Awesome all around!
We cruise often (a few times a year) and use a variety of lines. Several Carnival cruises in the past, always been 110% pleased with Carnival. The Legend stands out amoung the best...perhaps that is why the Legend has won the Carnival "crystal eagle" award as the best of the best.

We stayed at Embassy Suites before the cruise, you can walk or take a shuttle or cab ($6 per person shuttle, or $6 for a three minute cab ride). Check-in was quick and easy. Tampa cruise terminal for Carnival was very effecient and easy!

As normal, upon boarding the buffet was frantic and busy. Quickly got to our cabin which was spotless (catgory 8). Plenty of storage space for the two of us.

Plenty of public spaces, entertainment was excellent (especially the "Big Easy" show on day 6...a must see!

We had Sr. Cruise Director John Heald on our cruise, which was a treat, he was very informative during our cruise about other Carnival cruises and ships.

Food was excellent in the dining room, buffet was good on all our meals we had there...and the (for pay) steakhouse was absolutley incredible (highly recomend to try at least once...bring a huge apetite though!). Dining room and buffet service was good, steakhouse service was incredible! There are many buffet stations so expect to do a little searching for exactly what you want, food and variety is plenty!

There was a large gay group on board that we were not aware of in advance. However, it made for an interesting and colorful cruise. They were all very nice and respectfuly. Being a Halloween cruise, the entertainment by the gay cruisers was tops! They had their own functions many times. If we had kids, we "may" have had some concerns (due to minor amounts of public affection).

Only negative....the normal smoke filled casino. But the Cruise Director did let us know that the new Carnival Dream has solved that problem by offereing non-smoking casino (which we are booked in April 2010 and can't wait to take our chances in the casino on that cruise).

Debarkation was very organized and quick. We were off the ship by 8:00 a.m.! We quickly cleared customs and was in a cab and arrived at the airport by 8:30! Tampa terminal has the system very well organized and efficient...best of class of all the terminals we've experienced.

Highly recommend to experience the Legend. We believed you coulnd't beat the service on the Spirit...but the Legend proved to be the ultimate cruise ship in the Carnival line (but we can't wait till April for the Dream!)
