Great value but a few opportunities for improvement.
I must start by saying that if traveling with children, have no fear - this ship and crew will make their vacation awesome! The camp carnival staff does an amazing job entertaining the young ones so that you can enjoy yourself. Between the pool, water slides, mini-golf and camp carnival.... I wasn't sure if my child would willingly disembark. There is a fee after 10pm but it is well worth it, especially when docked at night in the Bahamas.

I will get my few negatives out of the way. The entertainment was lacking compared to other Carnival Cruises I have taken. This was my first short cruise and I kind of felt like I had drawn the short end of the stick. The musical Tia Thompson "supposed" comedy is awful - not worth seeing and in fact we didn't stay for all of it.

On the last night of the cruise (3 nights), it felt like the crew was more concerned with preparing for their next guest they tending to their current ones. The Lido deck closed for over an hour at 10 pm. Most of the common areas were blocked off throughout the night for cleaning. Meanwhile my room wasn't even done that night. Had this been a longer cruise, I might not have minded as much but when you pay for 3 nights, you expect 3 nights - not 2 1/2.

On a more positive note, the ship is older but well maintained. The crew is very active in keeping up with cleaning, repairing etc. There is always a lot of people fast at work. The dining choices were of fair quality although the buffet dining options were a bit scarce compared to a few previous cruises. If you cruise for high quality food and entertainment, this is probably not your ship. If you are simply looking for a relaxing vacation and can entertain yourself with family or friends, this is a great value. I had fun and did what I set out to do despite the noticable differences mentioned above.

The only other note is concerning one particular waitress who found it overly amuzing to keep referring to the veal parm as "Bahhaahaa Baby Cow" in a creepy weird voice. While funny the first time, after about the 12th or 13th time, it became annoying, especially when dinning with a 9 year old who was not happy to hear the animal sounds of the meal we were eating.
