After 8 months of planning it was finally here. My DH and I were cruising to celebrate 25 years of great marriage. We drove from Tennessee to Tampa. We stayed at the Spring hill Suites by Marriot. The hotel was clean, lovely and served a good breakfast. Saturday night we dined at Mitchells Seafood restaurant. It was reasonably priced and the food and service fantastic. Sunday embarkment was painless. We arrived at the pier at 1045 . Security was tight but simple. We were on board by 1200. The Legend--We loved it.Is it Gaudy ? Yes. Is it also beautiful? Yes. It was immaculate everywhere. The service was really perfect. The food. Oh my, plentiful and superb. In the dining room our servers were Valentine and Koby. They would bring anything you asked about. We had an extended balcony and it was great. We were able to really appreciate the beautiful waters of the Caribbean. Our cabin steward was Riyanto Fnu from Indonesia. He does a wonderful job of keeping the cabin clean and towels fresh. I never had to ask for ice. He brought fresh ice twice a day. I enjoyed a facial and massage in the spa. Raymond was great. DH loved the sauna and steam room and the gym equipment. Our only complaint was that our 2 kids each ordered and paid for anniversary cakes for us to be delivered on 2 separate nights. We never received anything. On the last day my son sent a text to ask if we enjoyed the cakes. I called guest services and was told that they never got the order.Carnival messed up because each of our kids bank account had been debited for the money for the cakes/ All in all it was a fabulous trip. We hope to do another cruise soon.
