Sail Date: Oct 2009

The Western itinerary provided some interesting ports of call and the idea of being in the greatest (until Nov.!) Cruise convinced us of booking this sailing. Pre-Cruise we spent some days in Orlando and rented with Avis a one way from Airport to Cape Cañaveral. The car drop off was quick and a very different scenario than the chaos at the airport. The embarkation process was pretty quick, overall lasted 45 min. and at 11:45am we were in the ship! As it was still early we decided to check our table at the MDR and it was a nice 4 people by a window!. On the dinning hours we still prefer the fix everyday hour, since we feel it's part of the "being in a cruise" thing and since we do not have kids there is no urge to have an early dinner. Since he were at Galileo's (Deck 5) we saw that from 8-8:40pm the line for My Time Dinning was tricky, specially on the Formal Nights. We had THE BEST Assistant Waiter, Milton from Jamaica!!!! and the Waiter (I forgot his name) was also great!.

At 1:30pm we went to check our room and found our attendant, a nice young woman from Jamaica that made sure we had ice 24/7, kept everything well organized and always gave us a smile. We drop our carry on's and headed to the Windjammer for lunch. The Windjammer was nice, not that many people around and as always with tons of options. Ok.. Food.. I know this is an issue and tends to be more of an opinion. I'm not a foodie but really appreciate nice quality meals. The Windjammer is a Buffet, I never expect a 5 star cuisine from a Buffet that needs to serve for more than 3,000+ people...so.. it was good.. very good.. didn't encounter anything bad or raw. We went to the Windjammer for breakfast and a quick snack after returning from the ports of call at around 4pm.

Pool... the towels can be changed as many times as you would like, since their is a kiosk in the pool area were you pick them up.. just be sure to always return the same quantity you first took and do the final turn around by Sat. night ... Regarding the chairs.. I do have to say never saw those "Deck Patrols" removing anything from the chairs that had been empty for more than an hour (and it's supposed to be a 30 min. max). We only had a struggle to get a chair by the pool on the last day at sea..
