I have mainly cruised on the larger ships, which I love. So I was quite concerned getting on a smaller ship for so many days. After the first day at sea, my fears were gone. The ship is beautiful, large enough for all to have their space, not too crowded although it was at full capacity. The crowd was older, but still fun. The ports of call were the highlight of the trip and some of the comedy shows. The production shows were good, and some even excellent, but I have seen better. The food was exceptiona1 -- excellent does not do it justice.
I had the balcony minisuite, and it was small. It was clean, the room steward was very attentive and responsive.
My only complaints, the bed was so hard, I really didn't look forward to a nap or sleeping at night. I was sore every morning. I complained but they had no mattress pads left, so I guess lots of people must have compained too.
The entertainment on the ship was great. However, the cruise director was a no show on most events and not entertaining. Nothing compared to the the directors in the Grand Princes or Adventure of the Seas. His staff carried all the weight and THEY were exceptional!
I took two ship excursions which were very good. They are always over-prized but considering the ports, I valued the security they offered. I felt safe all the time.
I would recommend everyone to take this cruise. The voyage through the Panama locks was out of this world. To see the 8th wonder of the world in such a ship, was awesome.
Panama and Costa Rica were the best. Aruba and Cartagena second best. I did not really like Jamaica. But that my personal feeling. I know a lot of people enjoyed their time there too.
Everyone was talking about their tours. Got great reviews from all of them.
The thing I love the most from Princess is the anytime dinning. I met the most awesome people every night. It was an adventure in its self to go dining.
Would do it again and recommend it highly.
