My husband and I were excited to share our 1 year anniversary on board the Majesty of the Seas. We started our trip out from the port of Miami in which we flew into Miami airport without any problems and took a taxi to Zone 4, our hotel location, for about $32. We had decided to arrive 1 day early and stay at the Shore Club Hotel(We got a great deal on PL). This hotel was perfectly located in the heart of South Beach. The staff was wonderful. We were able to stroll along the beach as well as take a 10 minute walk to the many stores and restaurants within the main strip. We had breakfast at this wonderful southern like restaurant off of the beach walk.

Our cruise day started out great. We took a taxi from the hotel to the port for about $21. We found that taking taxis is the best deal when you're dealing with 2 or less people. Our embarkment time was 5 PM and rules were to be on board at least 2 hours before ship departed. This went off without any problems. We arrived at the port around 2 PM and our luggage was immediately handed over to eventually meet us again on board the ship. Right then began our tipping time. (Make sure you bring lots of $1 and $5 bills to assist with tipping. Boarding the ship was very easy. We were greeted by RCI staff upon entering the 1st security checkpoint. This was great b/c I am all about hospitality!! I loved the various security check points that were offered. It made me feel very safe and security. Upon entering the check in point, we were again greeted by a wonderful gentleman who answered any questions we had and also prevented us from having to read all of the signs. This made our check in quick and easy. Of course, we were a step ahead because we did online check in 3 days before departure. We highly recommend it. This was easy and great! Check in was a breeze and off we went to the ship and our room. Again we were greeted once entering the door by a RCI representative. It made us feel so welcome. Majesty of the Seas was beautiful. Yes, it is a smaller ship but well kept. We did not go on the cruise looking for old age, damage, etc. but to celebrate our wedding anniversary and have a great time. Our room was available once we arrived on the ship and gosh it was gorgeous. We were greeted at our room by "Jess." Jess kept our room very cozy. Every day we had an itinerary and an amazing towel animal. Gosh, how does he create all of those animals with a towel!!!! Jess was great and even helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary by surprising us with a bottle of champagne in our room after we came back from dinner. Our first night was spent eating at 1st seating in the Starlight/Moonlight dining area. It was great. We were surprised by the Head waiter "Daniel" who had everyone sing "Happy Anniversary" to us and also had a young lady serenade us with "Endless Love." He was very accommodating and flexible. the rest of the time, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Windjammer. The food overall was outstanding! Loved the variety. The Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers were great! The opening act excited me so much that I decided to participate in the "Gotta Dance Group." Majesty was full of activities, games, dancing and fun. It was a blast and we won! Take a chance and participate. You won't regret it. We had the best time and did the most amazing things. I am now a professional cruise dancer! Thanks Doris for the extra dance tips and practice! Participating in activities made our cruise more memorable. Ricky Matthews, the cruise director was outstanding. The comedian, Hank McGauley kept us laughing and we are Quest winners! Can't believe we did those crazy things!

The ports of call were wonderful. Nassau, Bahamas, Coco Cay (RCI private island) and Key West were all beautiful. Very hot but beautiful. It was especially great to receive the coupons for free jewelry at the ports of call. It gave us something to search for and do. We were also provided with maps for each port of call. It really helped us get around very easily. Thanks Royal Caribbean!!

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F1

Cabin was an ocean view in the middle of the ship. Chosen to prevent sea sickness. It was great with a wonderful view! Perfect location that was close enough to the elevator and steps but far enough away from the nose.
