Beautiful Bahamas October 9th sailing
Monarch of the Seas wasn't completely ready for sailing when we boarded. I was with a group of other ladies, 8 of us in all. After going to the deck where the swimming pool was, imagine our dismay to learn that the pool was empty and being painted, renovated. At least it did open the next day, back in commission. It was very hot so we really were looking forward to being poolside and taking a dip.

The next day we did an excursion by catamaran to Blackbeard's Beach, the Yellowbird I believe it was called, very beautiful beach area, lots to do and fun to be had. However, we would never had chosen that excursion and wasted the $35 if we'd known in advance about the dirty dancing and lewd behavior we'd see on board.

Free drinks were given one on the way over one on the return, but one in our party of 6 doesn't drink alcohol, no water was available. Some children were aboard the boat, not an environment for children at all, it was R rated dancing. The DJ was promoting it and encouraging it which was even more disappointing.

Our cabin had continual toilet flushing problems the whole weekend, but we still managed to work around that. Inspite of these few incidents, the ship gave us wonderful meals, the food was outstanding, anytime dining was great. The only improvement we'd have liked at dinners was better wine service. We weren't being asked what we'd like to choose, had long waits for drinks.

This was my second time to see Nassau, even more beautiful than the first. Was there 9 years ago, the water this time was very beautiful, skies, and beaches lovely. RCI's private island was also enjoyable, ample room to enjoy beach chairs, use the water, plenty to do. Lunch spread was great, meals were terrific lots of choices to savor. I couldn't have asked for better meal service. All in all for a 3 day weekend, was enjoyable.
