Wonderful cruise to Alaska, disappointing land tour in AK
On comparison, we found that it was very different from the original one. There was no one at the Princess office in Seattle who could assist because this occurred on a weekend. Not only did they cancel our stop and 1 night stay in Anchorage, they now had us staying an extra day in Fairbanks. We had planned to visit family in Anchorage who we had not seen in over 20 years but now that More was not possible. We had already paid extra to stay an extra night in Fairbanks but now we were staying there for 3 nights. This was not something we would have chosen to do. But Princess did not make arrangements for that 3rd night. So it took us 3 days to get this corrected which meant we spent time at each stop trying to get answers. No one was answering the phone in Seattle nor did they call us back as they stated they would. We tried to make the best of a bad situation, but we felt we were not treated very well by Princess. I wrote a letter when we arrived home but it took Princess over 3 weeks to respond. They blew us off so I worte a letter of rebuttal which was supposed to go to corporate offices for review, but it did not. It went to the same person who wrote the first letter and I got the same response. I would never travel on Princess again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
We were also very disappointed that we were unable to book any land excursions at Mt. Mckinley Princess Lodge because the ones we were interested in were either booked up or there were not enough people signed up to participate so they were cancelled. We also would have liked to spend more time at Denali and at Mt. Mckinley instead of just overnight. Less

Our room was fine, we had plenty of space and it was kept very clean.
