After a lovely pre cruise dinner at the South Street Diner, A wonderful place, with friends from cruise critic. We stayed at the Microtel near the hotel, nice clean hotel.
In the morning headed to the port, easy check in then on the Champagne welcome. Ate lunch at the buffet, it was early so it was not crowded. Food hot and staff with a smile.
I wanted to take this time to talk about what made this ship so special. The staff is amazing. Each and every member I met had a smile or kind word to say. They all work together for the goal of making your vacation truly magical. I believe the key is the Hotel Director Brian Walters, I was able to talk with him in length about his life on the sea. You can see how he commands respect by his staff but still maintains a personal warmth. He has had a long career with NCL and I am happy to have met him.
It is the little things that mean the world to me, being treated with kindness, is what I have come to appreciate so much about the NCL staff, the waiter who remembers I like tea and even goes searching for the elusive MINT TEA. The sweet girl who always sat you at a table in Four Season, who remembers you when she sees you in the buffet and says "we will see you for dinner later Ms Mary".
I can not say enough about the kind and excellent staff in Le Bistro, each morning being greeted with such wonderful smiling faces, and the food for breakfast lunch and dinner were more than excellent. And always willing to do anything to make your meal an experience of excellence.
Now on to my favorite subject, this was a reunion cruise of a fantastic group of cruise critic members who sailed together last year. We were the Bermuda Fun Bunch and truly had fun. Being able to see each other spend time together, from watching families spend time together learning to knit to laughing at meals and talking for hours, spending time together. And the crazy rain beach day with other friends. Cruise critic and the MAJESTY brought us together, and our love for cruising and each other will keep this magical time on the Majesty living in our memories as the best cruise ever.
