We booked this ship, a Holland America ship, hoping to find more of a high end cruise. We were sorely disappointed. Sorely, sorely disappointed.

If you're looking for a cruise with good food, this isn't it. Steer clear. However, if you're looking for a cruise where you can eat a raw egg omelette for breakfast, vegetables swimming in oil for lunch, and grizzled meat for dinner, then you are in for a treat. And, even better, if you're looking to be served by staff who will treat you quite nicely until the last day of the cruise (when you will be told that you are delusional when you tell them your coffee is cold--even though it is very clear that ice cubes would find a welcome home in your coffee), you will be the happiest cruise-er this side of the hemisphere.
