five star cruise for all european travellers
MSC POESIA is a wonderful first class cruise ship with perhaps the best comfortable balcony cabin we have ever had ? as for the food we were quite contented for we breakfast at the self service cafeteria on deck 13 and occasionally ate there at lunch-time although the splendour of the LA FONTAINE RESTAURANT was excellent for the seven course evening meal which i must say i did not eat at any time seven courses !! however i purchased a superior wine and table water vouchersprior to boarding at £92.00 < mean i ISTANBUL at board on got cruising start to nation seventh that mind in everybodyso with this in mind we come to the tours ashore MY WIFE unfortunately cannot walk about for too long and has difficulty in climbing?descending stairs owing to her knees and a respitory complaint THEREFORE we enquired at the tours office on board about the tours to BARI,OLYMPIA,IZMIR,ISTANBUL AND DUBROVNIK all to be told that it was impossible for her to take any tour whatsoever because of her medical complaint< i tried to explain that it was possible if she could go at her own pace ? the european tour guide said that it was totally out of the question!! AND YET she and i went to IZMIR for the day on a taxi ride for four hours at acost of 75 euros likewise we took the road train outside the port gates around the city of BARI and also the shuttle bus into the centre of DUBROVNIK yes i am afraid to say that the MSC POESIA CRUISE SHIP is a wonderfl cruise for anyone young or old but the downfall is unfortunately the language barrier WOULD I TRAVEL WITH MSC CRUISES AGAIN I THINK I WOULD LIKE TO SAY YES ON THE PROVISO THAT THE MSC COMPANY DID SOMETHING ABOUT THE LANGUAGE BARRIER as finally with regards to the language barrier on disembarkation at VENICE we were all out of our cabins by 0730 hours to sit around in the ship's lounges until 1030 hours where we were then herded into the terminal building on the dockside to wait for transportation at 1230 hours to be taken to the airport for a 1630 hours take off flight to GATWICK therefore we never seen the city of VENICE at all once again if we were prepared for this DISEMBARKATION SHAMBLES and believe me it really was ? then we could have arranged for something a little better than to waste atotal day sat around in terminals and airports BUT THE LANGUAGE BARRIER WAS ONCE AGAIN AT THE FOREFRONT
