I'm not usually one to complain. I'm also quite a busy person, and I very rarely provide internet reviews. However, following my experience onboard Carnival's Liberty, I feel obligated to inform the public about my disappointment with Carnival Cruise Lines and with the staff of the Liberty.

In March 2009, I went on my first cruise with my best friend. We chose to travel with Royal Caribbean onboard the Liberty of the Seas. I can say without hesitation that this was the most relaxing and fun week of my life. It was truly hard to believe how nice EVERY crew member was to us throughout the cruise. They were all very helpful, knowledgeable about the ship, and easy to understand. With it being our first cruise, we were expecting some difficulty learning cruise ship basics and ship protocol. However, the crew was so helpful and ship locations were so easy to find that we did not struggle at all.

Night and day is an adequate way to compare our Royal Caribbean and Carnival experiences. Our September-October 2009 cruise with Carnival was sort of a last minute idea. So, we looked for one of the more affordable cruises available during the time period that we could travel. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is more than applicable to describe this trip.
