Wonderful Cruise for our Honeymoon
Destination: Canada & New England
Embarkation: New York (Manhattan)
The shows are fabulous. The cruise director and his assistant are wonderful and very funny. We were selected as one of 3 couples to play the Marriage Game(takeoff of the Newlywed Game). Finished 2nd but should have won(lol) Makes you squirm a bit with some of the questions, but overall was a fun experience.
The food is wonderful(shrimp cocktail every night and as much as you want). We had anytime dining and never had a long wait to be seated. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting other people in the dining room from all over the US and England. Really enjoyed the behind the scenes enrichment More programs for the stage shows and the food preparation.
We found the CB to be a very beautiful ship full of wonderful crew and delightful passengers. We never felt overly crowded on this big ship. We are so ready to go again. Thank you Princess for the unforgettable experience for our honeymoon! Less

Some noise early in the morning, but great location, close to dining rooms, theatre, exits for port days, and the Piazza. We would take this room again as we were pleased with it. Also close to the coffee bar and International Cafe(important for the coffee!)
Port and Shore Excursions
Our favourite port of the cruise. Very easy to stroll through town. Very pretty location. Able to get great deals on coats, hooded sweatshirts, and hats here. Had to have a famous fresh Maine lobster meal for lunch. DELICIOUS! Very picturesque view from the restaurant overlooking the bay. One of the highlights of the cruise. Next we went on the whale watch tour and saw about 6 whales. Dress warmly if you go, it does get chilly.
We did the Old Towne Trolley HOHO and got tickets online. Did a lot of the historical sites such as Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church(which was very interesting, the USS Constitution which is closed on Mondays when we were there, a World War II class Navy destroyer which we toured close to the USS Constitution, the Bunker Hill monument, the park with the famous swan boats, and even Fenway Park.
We rated Halifax this low because there were 4 cruise ships in port which made getting around town very trying with all the people. Had to be bussed off the pier which took a lot of time. Went to the Citadel above the city. Great view of the city and before we left the military in dress uniform showed up with 3 howitzer type canons and gave a 15 gun salute for the return of the legislature. Very loud and impressive as we were only about 50 feet away from the guns.
We tendered into Newport which was very easy to do. We did the all day city bus pass for $5 each and did the Cliff Walk on our own for about 1.5 miles by the Breakers mansion(cottage). Very beautiful scenery. Lots of sailing yachts in the port to see.
Very friendly people in St. Johns. Ladies received roses and men Canadian flag and St. Johns pins when leaving the ship. We took a city bus tour for $16 each. One of the best tours we have been on. Very informative narration by the driver. Some of the highlights were the reversing falls and the open air market. You have to try the dulce(lol), a local snack made from something like seaweed.
Time to retire this ship!!!
