We booked a junior suite on the late September cruise to New England and the Maritime provinces of Canada. Embarkation went very smoothly (we are platinum level in Crown and Anchor) and we wanted to occupy ourselves until the cabin was ready so we went to our usual hang out; the Schooner Bar, only to discover that it was a smoking area. Unusual for Royal Caribbean.

When our cabin was ready we went down to it, it was of a reasonable size and located on the rear of the ship with a large aft facing balcony. On the way down to the cabin we noticed stained carpets, marks on the walls of the companionway and most cabin doors had one or two dents in them. Generally a tired ship.

We had booked a late sitting for dinner and asked for a table for 6 or 8. We enjoy the companionship of "table mates". When we checked ahead of time to locate our table we found that we had been allocated a table for two. We stood in line for long time to get it changed.

Cabin Review

Relatively small for a suite, good size balcony, very noisy due to music from below until 11.30 at night.
