Ship Facts: Carnival Victory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Victory Deck Plans
Never again on this cruise
Cruised ( 9/13 to 9/20 ) Out of Old San Juan We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Condado aprox 7 miles from Old San Juan, Fav. place to hang out was called "Waiters" great food and drinks. This area was full of shops, bars, beach, casinos.. We stayed there 4 days before cruise and 1 1/2 days after cruise.

Depart... 9/13 this was so fast and smooth we where on the ship by 11 am and having lunch by 11:30am , Unpacked bags by 1pm then hung out on upper decks until 10 pm when we left San Juan if was so pretty we went right by El Morro beautiful at night.

Ok reason we say never again is this ship catered to the Puerto Rican families and other stops for boarding durning the cruise. This ship was over ran by Puerto Rican they where very pushy, rude, loud, no manners on this ship. Yelling and running up and down the halls all hours of the night slamming doors.... no rest no peace at all. Try to shop on the ship was just as bad the PR women would not let you in an inch to even see the jewelry just gave up.

Ports ... St Thomas - Megan's bay beach Tour was in a converted Ford truck seated 25 people and the most scary ride I have had in my life. Beach was very pretty water nice and clear PAN HANDLERS bugging you in the water and on beach every 5 mins would not leave anyone alone. It was very nice but for that one problem bugging us never again. No relax time in water or beach. We did alittle shopping nice port.

Dominica - No tour we got off ship starting walking pan handlers everywhere trying to sell stuff to you walked up 2 blocks was offer to buy some pot said forget this crap went back on the ship ... TAKE A TOUR on this island. Captains dinner ... it was ok my hubby got 3 lobsters our waiting staff was great.

Barbados - Best of Blends Banks Beer and Mt Gay Rum Very nice safe driving tour our guide pointed out alot of nice things about this island. If you like to drink this is a great tour to do some great tasting. After tour did a little shopping nice port.

St. Lucia - took taxi to beach Pigeon Point Nice beach but again pan handlers bugging you every few mins buy buy buy:( This island would be a nice place to fly into and stay for a week very pretty place. Crazy driving tight roads

Antigua - Devils Bridge and Long Bay Beach Very nice tour I think this was the best tour out of all our stops. Safe driving nice group on tour and beautiful beach no pan handlers bugging us. We where in the water the whole 3 hours it was one of the prettiest places. Really would go back here again for a week. We also ate lunch in the port a much if you have the spare $$ go to The Commanders Restaurant OMG some of the best food ever it is 1 block from the dock. NOTE: some people rented a car thinking this was cheaper #1 they got lost #2 it cost them more for the car rental/ gas then the tour did.

St. Kitts - Brimstone Hill fortress and city tour If your into this kind of stuff like my hubby is do this tour it was nice we had good group with us but would have much rather do something else. This was a nice island would like to visit again for a week.

I think if we took this southern tour again we would go out of FL and not stop in San Juan. We really enjoyed our time in San Juan but the folks who boarded the ship ( Locals ) where a bit to much for us. If I was to compare the Conquest and Victory I would go back on the Conquest for sure. I can now understand why people would say some will like this trip and some will hate it.
