Cabin: Junior Suite

Flew in one day early on American Airlines to Miami, then to San Juan. Checked 2 bags - only one arrived in San Juan. Stayed at The Hampton Inn - you always know what you are getting with Hampton. We had a King suite for $119 (including the taxes, etc.). Dinner across the street at Los Platos was very good; chicken stuffed plantains. Breakfast at the hotel was included. The second bag was delivered to our hotel early Sunday morning. whew Taxi to Pan Am pier; 2 p.m. Boarded in less than 10 minutes. Our Junior Suite cabin was larger than we expected; bathtub/shower, walk-in closet with lots of hangers and shelves, sofa, coffee table, 2 chairs, balcony with 2 chairs, small table, one lounger. 9330 is a junior suite behind the "hump." The vanity area is quite large, good sized frig, more drawers than we knew what to do with, and a door connecting to the next cabin if you doing the family thing. Balcony was great with 2 chairs, 1 small table, and 1 lounger, and still lots of room to stand and move around. The windows and sliding door WERE the wall; plenty of light, but also blackout drapes and then a sheer curtain for privacy. The bathroom had a tub/shower; good water pressure. Sink faucet had very little pressure; water saving faucet I believe. Toilet set at angle, so you had to sit sideways; okay, whatever. Beds were comfortable, but pillows mushy. We got 2 more from the steward without problem. 2 robes were already in the room. Cabin close enough to the elevators but not too close to hear any noise. It was a large cabin. Steward was very efficient. Ship was pristine and beautiful; never felt crowded. Windjammer Cafe (buffet) better than we thought it would be; good selection, wait staff was incredible. Late dining in Vivaldi Dining Room; amazing staff, good food. We don't do many shows, but I did catch the Dance show, the gaucho, and "The Quest." All were good. We did buy the Coke package, and never had trouble getting a bartender to fill our containers. All the staff were the friendliest we've ever encountered; seemed a very happy crew. NO problems at all; everything organized and easy, no lines, lots to do, plenty of activity and/or plenty of peace and quiet. No issues with smoke on our balcony; that's a first. We had perfect weather and very smooth seas.
