Wonder on the Wonder

Dining We just got back home from a very nice Disney Vacation with our 4 year old daughter. This is our first Disney Cruise and I am sure it will not be our last, but at the same time it was not the best cruise I have ever been on. My only complaint was the quality of the food. The food on deck was almost as good as it was in most of the dining rooms. We were appalled by tasteless food in the Animators Palate and the color changing walls were a letdown leaving everyone at our table wondering what all the hype was about. We did not eat at Palo's because we had dinner every night with our daughter, so I cannot rate Palo's. Triton's dining was slightly below the standards that we have experienced on other cruises and we ate there two do to the rotational dining which was a nice change. Most of our meals were eaten at Parrot Cay which was as good in every aspect as food that we have experienced on Carnival cruises. Unless Disney changes their menu and cooks in the Animators Palate the next time we cruise with them we will just eat dinner in one of the many places on deck, at least that way we can have something that is eatable. Well enough about the sub-standard food. Our waiter was WONDERFUL and made the dining experience "Magical" for our daughter. His name is Pong and he is from Thailand. He went way above and beyond to make my entire family feel as if we were the only people in the dining room. Pong played with my daughter, made sure all her special dietary needs were met and ever cut her food for her one night. Anyone that is served by Pong is in for a very special treat.

Cabin We received a nice upgrade to an Ocean View Stateroom, the room was spacious and the split bathroom was very nice. I have read a review or two where the person writing the review said the bathrooms were too small. My wife and I are not tiny people. I am a large man just over 6 feet tall and 300+ LBS. As large as I am it was easy for me to do whatever I needed in the bathroom. The only thing in our room that was not cleaned was our window. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Cabin Review

Cabin 9A

Lots of storage space, large room for a cruise ship, the room was clean except for the window and what good is a dirty window when you are trying to enjoy a view?
