I was nervous about this cruise as it was our first cruise outside of the Caribbean and after reading the reviews about the "older passengers" historically on the ship. My wife and I are 40 (give or take a few years depending which one of us you are talking to). Without a doubt, this was our best cruise yet. The ship was in great shape, the wide array of excursions was incredible, and as for the older passengers, I only hope I have so much energy and such a jest for life when I am retired (listen for a while and you might just learn a thing or two).
Staff: My wife has food allergies, so we are always apprehensive about eating away from home. The dinning room staff was so attentive to her needs that they were ordering her food for her at the end of the cruise. We could not have asked for a better outcome. Our room steward was very good, although no towel animals.
Excursions: Alaska is very lush and beautiful no matter what you do. In Ketchikan we did the Boat ride through the Tongas National Forest and then the float plane back to port. The naturalist on the boat was very informative, and it was great to get an upclose look at nature. The plane ride took off on the water and gave us the birds eye view of where the boat had just been. Worth the money (aprox $250/pp)
