Sail Date: Apr 2009

We sailed on the Westerdam for a 25th wedding anniversary present to ourselves. The experience was outstanding in every way!

The ship is beautiful--nicely furnished, clearly well-kept. Our cabin was one of the cheapest, but we didn't feel that we were missing anything (other than a portal!) The bed was extremely comfortable and neat. The room cleverly used every inch of space for storage--we had lots of space left over, even after a week of cruising. We had a refrigerator, which came in handy many times. The bathroom was tiny but perfectly adequate for a cruise ship.

Dining was outstanding. We loved the Vista Dining Room--a real highlight of the cruise for us. Staff was wonderful, and the experience was elegant and delightful in every way. The Pinnacle Grill was also very nice. The Lido room had periods of overcrowding, where people were jostling for a seat, but otherwise it featured good food & excellent service.
