Pre-Cruise We stayed 2 nights at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle. It was a nice, well located hotel. From there we walked to Pikes Market, to the Ferry which we took to Bainbridge Island and to the tram which we took to the Space Needle. We had a surprisingly nice meal in the Space Needle restaurant!

Embarkation We arrived at the Pier 91 around noon. The paper work was filled out online ahead of time, so we received our room cards and headed for the ship within 10 minutes of our arrival. There were many people online waiting to get on the ship & it made the line longer when they held the line up so the ramp between the Terminal & the Ship could be adjusted. I've never left from a Cruise Terminal that had access only from a "makeshift ramp." Maybe with Pier 91 being so new, there are plans to a have better ramp in the future. All in all, we were in our cabin within 60 minutes of first arriving at the Terminal-not terrible!

Cabins We were in cabin C701. Perfectly located by the aft elevators & the nice, roomy balcony that we had heard about! There was plenty of storage between the ample closet and drawer space in the closet, desk and night tables. I had previously faxed a request to Princess for the egg crate mattress topper; it was on our bed when we arrived. The bathroom was a little small, but sufficient. I do wish the shower was a little roomier...and why is it that no showers have a spot for you to rest your leg while shaving? I think showers should only be designed by women!!! Our cabin was in good condition, we were watched over professionally by our attendant Louis Hernandez. We traveled with my mom-in-law and her sister. This was their first Princess cruise and they were upgraded from a AA Mini-Suite to a PS Suite C749. Wow! What a beautiful cabin! Needless to say we enjoyed our sail away from their aft balcony!
