Our cruise embarkation port was Barcelona. We arrived 2 days early to explore the city. If you do this, do NOT miss the Segrada Familia! We took the guided tour and it was very good. (Buy your tickets in advance). Embarkation went very smoothly and we were able to go to our cabins right away.
We were only able to take advantage of a few of the onboard experiences because we chose long excursions in each port of call. However, we did see the dueling pianos which was very entertaining. We also caught the group Siglo. They were excellent - playing music from the 70's through the 90's.
We also ate at specialty restaurants 5 nights. La Cuchina was a favorite! We also enjoyed the Brazilian steakhouse, and Cagney's. The French restaurant was just okay. We didn't eat at any of the others.
Pro's - The cabins have a lot of storage! Our cabin steward was excellent!!!
Con's - I do not like the bathroom set-up. We had 3 in our cabin and it was awkward. If someone wanted to leave or enter the cabin, they walked right through the bathroom. The cabins are quite small. It's very crowded for more than 2 people (and we have cruised 20+ times, so I have realistic expectations of average cabin sizes). The large balcony is not worth the extra money. Though it is very large, there are still only 2 chairs and a very small side table. I would have preferred a smaller balcony to be honest.
