Our cruise on the Liberty of The Seas was our 10th cruise and it was by far our most disappointing. The ship itself was OK, but the food left much to be desired in comparison to all the other cruise lines on which we have traveled. We were especially disappointed in the quality of Royal Caribbean's "Chops Grill", for which we paid an additional $40 per person and was greatly NOT WORTH EVEN AN ADDITIONAL $10 per person. Liberty's Giovanni's was much better and was much less expensive. Our waiter at Giovanni's, Jose, was exceptional. Even though the food, overall, was disappointing, our servers in the main dining room, Emmanuel and Ellison, were fabulous and made our main dining room experiences enjoyable. The Windjammer Buffet was VERY BORING; essentially the same food every breakfast, lunch and dinner. They need to have more imagination and creativity in menu planning and incorporate some "theme" meals to spice-up the dining experience. One last comment; Royal Caribbean will gladly sell you excursion packages but then they just dump you on the pier with no guidance for your excursion. We had a VERY DIFFICULT time finding our excursion in Cozumel. Other cruise lines provide cruise staff on the pier to help insure that you can easily find the location for your excursion. Royal Caribbean was the first cruise line where we felt the "NO SERVICE AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE SALE" attitude. We will DEFINITELY NOT CRUISE Royal Caribbean again.
Just OK.
The embarkation process was excellent and the debarkation experience was average (need more customs agents!).
