Sail Date: Jun 2017
Cabin: Balcony

We chose this Cruise because it left from a local port which is convenient for us.

I'd read that the Grand was old, but that it was refurbished in 2016.

Only the Atrium area: shops, coffee shop, and perhaps the dining rooms and elevator areas looked as if they'd been refurbished.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

The Cabin, as is the rest of the ship has seen better days.

The main problem was the mattress. The hump in the center running top to bottom was

clearly visible. Both sides sloped down to the edge. When the staff were made aware of this, the mattress was replaced with one that wasn't as bad, but still bad.

The padded headboard, with mirror, has stains from where people have rested their heads.

The carpet is brighter in color at the edges and in places coming away.

The sheers are dirty where people open them, there's no pole to use, and the shower has mold growing in the seams. The grout on the floor and around the sink is dirty too.

The sheets were nice however.

The chairs on the balcony were chipped and shabby looking, put it this way, I wouldn't have bought them in a yard sale.
