I have over 100 images taken aboard the Allure of the Seas that people would easily confuse for the free day cruises to the Bahamas. The first day started off with no water on board, causing no clean plates or soda available. Pictures sent back home included eating cold food on paper plates and Coke out of a can. The My Time Dining on the formal night was a nightmare! The room was 80 degrees with us dressed in our 3 piece suites and our ladies in their full dresses. Even the staff was sweating. Food quality was insulting with the meat only being cooked two ways, raw or well done. We had a great dinner at Chops the first day. It seems the only way to enjoy your time on Royal is by paying extra money. The chairs for the tables on one on top of another with no room to get out of our seat without bumping into the people behind us. To order a drink at our table which we are assigned to, we needed to provide our card every time (even though we are linked to our dining table and our package is linked to us.) I tried to complain to Guest Services multiple times the last day but it seems there were close to 500 people who felt the same way I did. I have cruised many years with Royal Caribbean along with other big name cruise lines and Royal used to stand out. It hurts to pay so much money for a "high end" cruising experience and wish you were on another cruise line the whole time.
A bit small but not uncomfortable. Decent balcony with comfortable beds. Showers a bit tight for plus sized people.
Beautiful mountains and very friendly staff.
Security was tight but getting on board was fast and organized.
