The ship is huge and there is always something going on -which is great. However, because it is so big, the one-on-one personal attention we seemed to get on the smaller ships is lost with this one. Also, the food was not as good as on a smaller ship - it seems as if they are so busy attempting to feed everyone that the quality suffered a little. In the Wind Jammer, they made announcements to eat and leave so others could eat rather than opening both sides to accommodate everyone. My daughter has a gluten-free allergy and has never had issues being accommodated on any cruise we have attended, however, on the Oasis, they were not as accommodating only offering a sparse selection of of foods - for example they had gf hamburger buns but no hot-dog buns and only offered white bread as a bun. The specialty restaurants (all restaurants really) offered the same gf menu. It seems as if cream brulee is the only gf dessert option they knew to offer. We booked a junior suite for the first time and expected suite-class attendance, however, we ended up at guest services raising cain about the lack of service for the amount we paid. What Royal Caribbean doesn't tell you is that a junior suite is not considered a true suite but rather a higher level of stateroom. You DO NOT receive the same privileges as a grand suite or above, but the price is well above the regular staterooms. I recommend you read and ask everything carefully before booking on this level. That being said, the suite itself was large and worth the price for us due to the deals we received.
We had a handicap cabin. The location is excellent and the cabin was perfect. It is starboard side, but when docked, it faces all of the port views.
We stayed in the water the whole day. Labadee was awesome. My daughter wished we had stayed there two days and skipped one of the the other ports!
