EMBARKATION: Embarkation went smoothly. We arrived around noon and the process took about 45 minutes. Our room was ready so we dropped off our carry-on bag and went to the buffet for lunch. STATEROOM: The first thing I noticed was the mattress which was visibly lumpy. I had read previous posts about the mattresses but never thought it was that bad! The room steward was in the hallway so I requested the egg crates. He said that it was good that I asked for them early on as they go quickly. Our bags arrived right after lunch and our most expensive bag was missing a wheel. Carpet must have been cleaned that morning as it was very damp and stayed damp most of the trip. Bathroom smelled musty.

FOOD: I thought the food was below average. It seemed to me that the buffet seating area was very small compared to other ships I have been on so you were always looking for a seat. We learned early on to go to the back where seating was usually available. We chose Anytime dining this trip due to the odd times we were in port. We never had to wait to be seated and went anytime from 5:00-7:30. Service was fine but I did miss getting to know your cruise mates and dining room staff. I don't think we'll do Anytime dining again. I was very disappointed in the dinner menu. Seemed the food was region specific.

PUBLIC AREAS: Public areas were nice. You could tell they had been recently updated. I never went into the Princess Theater. Most of the entertainment we saw was in the Vista and Explorers lounge. Entertainment was lacking. We enjoyed the comedian and the juggler. The Baby Dolls were just average. I thought the champagne fountain was a waste of time. I expected something larger and more than just having a bottle waved over it. I expected to see an actual fountain.

Cabin Review

Cabin JS

Bathroom smelled musty. Black stuff in the tile grout.

Beds were terrible but I saw they were being replaced.

Uncovered patio limits use.

My cabin was across from the elevator and other than one slammed door it was extremley quiet.

Ample closet space.
