We liked our previous Seabourn cruise and wanted to go on their newest ship. Embarkation went smoothly due in part to using the smaller World Trade Centre terminal. Enjoyed lunch in the Collinade until our suite was ready. Pleasantly surprised on entering the suite to see that our special beverage requests were there and the our lady responsible for the suite available for a full tour. There were one or two minor things she wanted to explain to make us more comfortable. She was excellent throughout our stay doing something different everyday to make it more personal.
The layout of the ship is similar to the Odyssey, our previous ship, except for the extra deck for the Retreat, a private facility for a day charge of $350 or so. A little surprising for an all inclusive cruise. Looked around this one day but no one was there.
I initially booked a suite on the eighth deck aft but upgraded it later to suite 853 to be more conveniently located. Previously tried to upgrade to the 9th deck (pool) for the same category but none available. Unfortunately 853 connects with another and you could hear normal conversations. Poor insulation. More disturbing was the noise above from the pool chairs/tables which were moved around at 6am everyday. Complained to guest relations for two days running. The noise was even louder when they had to clear the deck for a special event but this was at 4pm. We also had a rattling problem wth the veranda divider but this was sorted quickly.
Already reviewed. Excellent but connecting doors bad an location below pool deck too noisy.
