Great for young families used to active, noisy children.

By mistake! We did not notice the "Family Friendly" statements. I have never seen so many overactive kids on any previous cruise. Families would find this ship ideal to allow their kids let their hair down while they relax in the Serenity deck area. The staff members were great and always helpful and relaxed. The food was good in the 'formal' Empire restaurant, but varied at times elsewhere. Dress standards, although specified at the Empire entrance, were more often ignored than observed, particularly on the formal Eloquent evenings. The cabin and balcony were both quite ok and were clean and tidy. Our cabin was very noisy due to slamming balcony doors and the weight lifting equipment directly above it. The activities were typically fun-filled but if you wanted more serious activities, you were disappointed. As I said, great for younger families. Stage entertainment was quite good, and one singer in particular was marvellous. The Adult Joke nights were fine if you liked crude, rude and continuous swearing. The four shore excursions were excellent for escaping the ship and all islands provided a great day out. Would we travel on Carnival again? No. Would we recommend Carnival Spirit to our friends? Not if we want to keep them!

Cabin Review

Very good, clean and tidy with great staff and good views from the balcony.
