Traveled with children

We took this cruise as a family adventure to celebrate our son and daughter in law's 10th anniversary. The main draw was that kids sail free which was a major factor for our sons with small children.

We have sailed extensively primarily on Celebrity and RCCL so this cruise was a bit of an unknown for us. In comparison the MSC held up well but is definitiely a small notch below RCCL and a significant drop from Celebrity.

We were in a suite(see below) which was very nice.

Cabin S3

We chose this cabin intentionally because of its unique location and design. It is in the very front of the ship on the port side. It is a unique 2 room suite with a large living room with a balcony and a forward facing bedroom with three floor to ceiling windows. The view from the bedroom is extraordinary.

The only drawback to the cabin is that the balcony is not wrap around, it only faces port. Additionally, this portion of the ship does not have the glass balconies but fixed metal. This does not enable you to sit on the balcony and view the ocean.

The steward was adequate.

The bathroom was among the nicest we have seen on our 20+ cruises. Quite large and well laid out with a bathtub. The shower head was an unusual and quirky design. There were no lotions or creams in the bath despite repeated requests.

Overall an excellent cabin.
